Seth C. Polansky - 1FW 219 - Law for Artists, what you need to know
Seth Polansky’s career has been focused on advising high-tech startups, government contractors, and creative businesses – both in the US and internationally.
During his 18-year career, Mr. Polansky has served as General Counsel to multiple tech companies and has successfully guided his clients’ companies from startup, through rounds of fundraising, and on to the acquisition processes. Also included in his background is 5 years as CSC’s Director of Contracts for DHS and DOJ programs.
Mr. Polansky has worked with ARTPact, an illustrator’s rights organization, and regularly teaches courses about intellectual property and contract law. He is admitted to practice in Maryland, and received his JD from the Catholic University of America, and his MA and BAs from Indiana University of Pennsylvania – where he was a triple major in Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies.
He currently lives in Silver Spring, Maryland with his wife Kelley. In their spare time, they make independent films. (No, not that kind. Pervert.)
