One Review at a Time: Brush Cleaner

Brush care is important, and while it can be time consuming, it’s relatively easy. Here are a couple products that I use that will help make your brush care more effective.

Brush Egg

First up we have the Brush Egg. Yes I know these were designed for make up brushes, but I assure you they work just as well for paint. I use mine to clean oil brushes, and water media brushes. They work great! As the picture at the top shows you just load your brush with soap, run it back and forth over the rides of the brush egg, and clean away! Repeat as needed.

Brush Cleaner and Preserver

The other little tip I have is “The Masters” Brush Cleaner and Preserver. I started using this soap about a year ago and it makes a real difference in getting all the gunk out of your brush. Love this soap!

Conditioner

The last tip is to get some conditioner, any cheap brand will do, and use it to add some hold to your brushes. Place a bit of conditioner in your hand, and then run the brush through the conditioner. Use your hand to shape the brush, and then let it dry. All you need to do is rinse your brush before you use it next time.

Happy painting!
